For this morph, I mostly utilized the same lyrical theme as @helen and @cispieces, including copying many of the metaphors, while the lyrics and music are otherwise original. I also totally stole "When it rains, it just pours" from their description. I'd call that 50%. :P I'm not entirely satisfied with my vocal performance, but what are ya gonna do? I do like the lyrics, the fuzz bass, drum beat I cobbled together from premade samples in MT Powerkit, and the falsetto I added to the chorus (singing the same octave, instead of an octave up like usual), so it's not a total loss
Also couldn't resist the slight pun of the title.
lyrics
Verse 1:
Hey, what happened to our melody?
It's going wrong, you sung it out of key
I sang a harmony, but we don't blend
And you're not fooling me, so why pretend?
Chorus:
And the feedback gets louder
Till my ears start ringing
I can't hear till you shout it
Hate what you're singing
Verse 2:
I'd say dynamically, there's nothing there
The tune is ruined but you just don't care
Why am I trying? Cause I'm always flat
Dunno the tempo, baby, where you at?
Chorus:
And the feedback gets louder
Till my ears start ringing
I can't hear till you shout it
Hate what you're singing
When it rains, it just pours
And I can't just fix it
We'll see what we can cover
After much remixing
Outro:
Hey, what happened to our melody?
It's going wrong, you sung it out of key
I sang a harmony, but we don't blend
And you're not fooling me, so why pretend?
I'd say dynamically, there's nothing there
The tune is ruined but you just don't care
Why am I trying? Cause I'm always flat
Dunno the tempo, baby, where you at?

Our first album is a raw piece of garage (er, basement) rock, heavily inspired by Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Weezer. It's rough, but it's free, and in my biased opinion, worth a listen. John Vermeersch
