about

I started this one with the storm skirmish in mind and while the verses still fit that, the chorus and bridge took a different direction that I really like. Unfortunately, I don't think they mesh with the verse musically, so this one might need a rework. What do you guys think?

lyrics

Verse 1:
I think I'm finally out of metaphors for time
But I'll act like I'm inspired
I guess I could leave it now
But I wanna go forever

Chorus:
I could use a coffee maker
I've never been a morning person
I could be happy
If it wasn't always storming

I think I love you
More than being seventeen
You look like a magazine

Verse 2:
We used to chase the fireflies through fields
Under full moons in the summer
You always used to shrug me off
But I never gave up trying

Chorus:
I could use a coffee maker
I've never been a morning person
I could be happy
If it wasn't always storming

I think I love you
More than being seventeen
You look like a magazine

Bridge:
I choked again
I'm sorry
I hope you know
I'm trying

I'll do my best for you
And I hope that's good enough for you
