A quick tablet recording! Came up with the chorus earlier, then watched some School Rumble and finished it. Inspired by both my last song and Concrete and Gold, the new Foo Fighters album, I'm trying to make sure the melodies in each portion of all my songs (not only the chorus) are strong, and I think that shows here.
lyrics
Verse 1:
Fruits in eden, sent away
Got caught stealing there one day
Didn't do it, I was framed
But she don't care
Every time I open up
A storm cloud comes and rains bad luck
Seems like I'm a little stuck
But she don't care
Pre-Chorus:
She never really knew
The reason I withdrew
Chorus:
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down
Verse 2:
Space train comes on faded blue
It picks me up but forgets you
Maybe that's what I should do
I shouldn't care
But every time I pack it up
And act like I don't give a fuck
You drag me back into a rut
Cause you're still there
Pre-Chorus:
I break down when I try
To give you my goodbye
Chorus:
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down
Pre-Chorus:
I think she always knew
The reason I withdrew
Chorus:
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down, down, down, down, down
She wears me down

John Vermeersch: guitar and vocals
Our first album is a raw piece of garage (er, basement) rock, heavily inspired by Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Weezer. It's rough, but it's free, and in my biased opinion, worth a listen. John Vermeersch
