I've been working on this one for like a week! I got the bass track recorded after playing with a fuzzy tone, then slowly came up with the melody and chipped away at the lyrics throughout the week and did the harmonies today. Incredibly proud of the harmonies and lyrics here especially, as well as the phasery bass solo. It's pretty sad despite the happy bass riffs though.
lyrics
Verse 1:
I'm tired
Expired
Forgot my coat
Covered in snow
The thunder
I'm under
Electrically
Meets apathy
Cooling, I saw your words as fog
But heard a breeze
Siphoning ecstacy from air
My deity
Chorus:
So I waited endlessly
For someone, for someone
Burning in the winter air
Was no one, was no one
Verse 2:
I hear it
A spirit
With greyish eyes
A living lie
The sun melts
What I felt
Black ice
Means I've been cheated twice
Redhead with color cycling skin
A daydream girl
Halleucination in my eyes
Can stay unheard
Chorus:
So I waited endlessly
For someone, for someone
Burning in the winter air
Was no one, was no one
And though I thought
That it could be
A quiet life for you and me
I woke up from my fever dream
*solo*
Chorus:
So I waited endlessly
For someone, for someone
Burning in the winter air
Was no one, was no one
Dream sequence sparkled
In my eyes
And all my lies just multiply
Dissolving angel, say goodbye

Our first album is a raw piece of garage (er, basement) rock, heavily inspired by Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Weezer. It's rough, but it's free, and in my biased opinion, worth a listen. John Vermeersch
